“MOVING OUT? What to do with YOUR trash”
Residents are reminded to contact AAA Trash and Recycling at
(703) 818-8222 to arrange for special pick-up of large items (appliances,
furniture, etc.).
For those of you selling your homes,
please keep in mind that many of us are still planning to stay here. It is very disturbing when residents clean
out their homes before the “big move” and pile everything from furniture to
lawn mowers to large trash bags in the common areas on Saturday or Sunday
knowing trash is not picked up until Tuesday.
The trash sits there for days and really detracts from the appearance of
the community.
Unfortunately this seems to be
happening a lot lately. Either plan to
dispose of your trash/large items at the I-66 Transfer Station off West Ox Road
(call for hours: 703-631-1179) or keep the items contained in your home or
fenced-in backyard until the night before trash pick up.
Be courteous to your neighbors. Follow the rules for trash pick up even if
you are a “short-timer.”
